Meet Tom Dolan

Tom began his musical studies in grade school at the age of eight. He continued these studies through his teen years furthering his classical studies with Morton Berger and Anthony Weigand. At this point his interest turned to Jazz. He studied Jazz piano with Jimmy Amadie, Hal Galper, Andy LaVerne and Dennis Sandole. He later studied Taubman Technique with Robert Durso.

He worked as a solo pianist, in duos, trios and quartets performing at venues throughout the Pennsylvania -South Jersey-Delaware Tri-State area including seven years at Adrian Restaurant, The Four Seasons Hotel, Hotel DuPont and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel where his trio was a mainstay for five years.

He also wrote and recorded background music for a number of clients. They include: The Mount Airy Learning Tree, Philadelphia Maritime Museum, AT&T, The Players Club and the theme for WIP’s Morning Show with Angelo Cataldi.

He has been sharing his knowledge since the age of 19 and his teaching style is a culmination of the acquired knowledge from his teachers and vast experiences throughout his performing career.
